Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you may have questions. We've compiled answers to some common inquiries to help you feel more comfortable and informed.

About Therapy

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

+

Yes. A large body of research has shown that for many common issues like anxiety, depression, and stress, online therapy (or teletherapy) is just as effective as traditional in-person therapy. The most critical factor for success in therapy is the quality of the relationship you build with your therapist, and a strong, trusting connection can absolutely be built through secure video sessions.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

+

Therapy can be beneficial for anyone. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or finding it difficult to cope with life's challenges on your own, therapy can provide a supportive space to explore those feelings. It's also for those seeking personal growth, better relationships, or a deeper understanding of themselves. Our free 15-minute clarity call is a great way to explore this without any commitment.

What happens in the first session?

+

The first session is primarily about getting to know each other. Your therapist will create a safe space for you to share your story, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. It's a collaborative conversation to understand your background and set some initial goals for your work together. It's also an opportunity for you to ask your therapist any questions you might have about their approach.

Logistics & Process

How do I book a session?

+

You can start by visiting our "Our Therapists" page to find a professional who feels right for you. From there, you can click to book a free 15-minute clarity call directly through our secure online booking system. After the clarity call, you can book your first full session using the same system.

What technology do I need?

+

You'll need three simple things: 1) A reliable internet connection, 2) A device with a camera and microphone (like a smartphone, tablet, or laptop), and 3) A private, quiet space where you won't be disturbed for the duration of your session. No special software is needed; you will receive a secure link to join the video call.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Is everything I say confidential?

+

Absolutely. Confidentiality is the cornerstone of therapy. Everything you share is kept strictly private, protected by professional ethics and Nepali law. The only exceptions are rare, specific situations where there is an immediate risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or when required by a court of law. These limits to confidentiality will be discussed with you by your therapist in your first session.

Are my sessions recorded?

+

No, sessions are never recorded without your explicit, written consent. Our standard practice is not to record any sessions to ensure the highest level of privacy for our clients.

Fees & Payment

How much does a session cost?

+

Our session fees are transparently listed on our booking page. We strive to keep our services accessible while fairly compensating our licensed professional therapists. We also offer packages for multiple sessions at a discounted rate.

What payment methods do you accept?

+

For clients in Nepal, we accept payments through major digital wallets like eSewa and Khalti, as well as mobile banking. For our international clients, we accept payments via major credit and debit cards through a secure international payment gateway.
